Imagine a nest.

Imagine the Frogmouth King, Queen and their fledgling chicks, have flown their tower for Summer – ranging their Kingdom in search of Christmas beetles – hunting for festive delicacies.

And while they’re  away the white knights – the cockatoos – maintain a watchful presence in the tower grounds. The Currawong takes a guest suite.

Imagine, and a nest is never empty.

So as fairytale Spring has turned to Summer daze and soon a festive slumber Down-Under – I’ll leave you to imagine the continued adventures of Cumulus (below) and Nimbus (further below). These are my last photos of these two Tawny Frogmouth chicks – taken on their first day branching-out from their nesting tree in my back yard.
